2021 $1 1-oz Silver Eagle T1 Last Day & T2 First Day 2-pc Set NGC MS69

  
This two-piece set commemorates the historic 2021 designtransition of the American Silver Eagle, featuring both the final "Type1" and the first "Type 2" uncirculated coins struck that year. Both coins are certified by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) in MintState-69 (MS69) condition, indicating near-perfect coins with fullstrikes and nearly indistinguishable imperfections. Type 1 (Last Day of Production). This coin features the original Heraldic Eagle reverse design by John Mercanti, which was used from the series' debut in 1986 until mid-2021. Type 2 (First Day of Production). This coin introduces the new "Eagle Landing" reverse design by Emily Damstra, depicting an eagle carrying an oak branch to its nest.

Both coins feature Adolph A. Weinman's iconic Walking Liberty. The set is unique because the U. Mint purposely held back the final 200,000 Type 1 and first 200,000 Type 2 uncirculated coins specifically for NGC Pedigree.

These are the first coins in the American Silver Eagle series to carry the official "Last Day of Production" (LDP) and "First Day of Production" (FDP) labels from NGC.
